Cationic Mistron® K For improved pitch and stickies control and lower anionic trash and ash levels
Mistron® K cationic talc is even more effective at controlling pitch and stickies than non cationic talcs and can be used at doses as low as 0.5 weight %.
Mistron® K is highly effective with pulps containing high levels of anionic trash and leads to lower levels of ash in the sheet.
Mistron® K's cationized platelets have a hydrophobic, organophilic surface with a cationically charged edge. The platelets adsorb and cover tacky contaminants, reducing deposits on felts and cylinders, leading to less cleaning, longer felt life and increased productivity.
At equivalent dosage levels, cationic Mistron® K is more efficient than conventional non cationic talc. Alternatively, the dose can be reduced to achieve similar performance levels as with non cationic talc, resulting in reduced ash content and raw material handling.
Cationic Mistron® K is effective in both chemical and mechanical virgin pulp as well as deinked (DIP) and recycled pulp.
It is ideal for newsprint SC and LWC paper, wood-free printing grades, tissue paper and board.
