Steagreen® is a new, lamellar, engineered talc grade, designed specifically to restore mechanical properties to recycled plastics enabling their use in highly demanding applications.
Used in recycled PP, a compound containing 20% loading of Steagreen® talc will match the performance of a non-recycled, talc-filled PP compound and can therefore be used for high performance applications.
Improved dimensional stability
Steagreen® talc-reinforced recycled PP demonstrates a 30% improvement in dimensional stability compared to recycled PP not containing talc, enabling parts to be used for zero-gap automotive applications.
Enhanced heat resistance
An improvement of nearly +7°C can be achieved with Steagreen® talc at 20% loading enabling compounds to be used for applications such as under-the-hood automotive parts.
Steagreen® talc is chemically inert and thermally stable and isn’t affected by multi-pass extrusion. It can be recycled indefinitely without losing its initial properties.
Steagreen® performance is very similar to that achieved with a very fine talc, but at a lower cost.
